From its arrival on the Basque Coast in the 1950s, surfing at Anglet has developed into a real way of life.

Thanks to its 11 surf spots and its competitions, Anglet is recognized the world over as an absolute must among surfing destinations. Ten or so surf schools are open to surfers of all skill levels.
Follow Tim Boal’s progress. He’s the first surfer from Anglet to qualify for the ASP World Tour, placing him amongst the elite of professional surfers.
He was ranked 30th in the world in 2009.
